Developed a comprehensive implementation roadmap and design specification for an enterprise ECM upgrade and migration. Scope of this engagement included the implementation of an IBM P8 enterprise infrastructure, migration of 18 million static documents and 2 million versioned documents supporting 10,000 users and five major custom applications. The source ECM infrastructure included IBM Image Services, Capture and Content Services components. The target infrastructure includes P8 5.x Content Engine, Image Manager, Content Federated Services, Business Process Manager, Application Engine, Workplace XT and custom applications leveraging WebSphere Portlet Factory and Portal Server.
Business Impact
The system migration allowed the IT operations group to utilize the latest versions infrastructure components, such as databases, operating systems and applications servers. The business users benefited from the enhanced capabilities of the new ECM environment providing comprehensive data mining, reporting and business performance monitoring. A soft cost savings of over 2-Million dollars was estimated based on the elimination of duplicate software maintenance costs and a significant decrease in internal help desk support costs.

Project Summary
The Central Data Abstraction Tool (CDAT) project supported the Risk Adjustment and Validation (RADV) initiative. Activities included managing resources related to the development of system components leveraging Agile methodologies leading to rapid application development. The highly available system allowed Glaxo-SmithKline users uninterrupted review of pharmaceutical specifications and clinical trial results. The process automation allowed the timely review and approval of information through the approval lifecycle.
